Butterflies totebag #2 !

This bag is totally upcycled/recycled!

The fabric on the outside used to be a pillowcover until an unfortunate accident involving first a cat and then the washing machine.

The inside lining is from a vintage pillowcover.

The handles are reclamed from an old totebag that fell apart.

The bottom insert is made from a pair of old twill pants!

Yvette and Yolande together!

I made these two up from one pair of socks in bright yellow, black, orange and fuschia. I love the socks;but they would not fit my long feet!

I added yarn hair (long and curly/wavy like my own!),big, fuschia felt lips and black and yellow button eyes.

I can only tell them apart because Yvette is a tiny bit taller than her sister!

Oliver and Olivia Owl!

This is Olivia Owl. She has a flower shaped belly button!

Oliver nd Olivia all made up and ready to go!

New Year-new needs!

Well,I have been praying for God to open my eyes to what the need is that my little group of ladies can help with by our crocheting, knitting and sewing.

I have received word from a number of sources that there is a need for hats, scarves and mittens for tweens and teens either in the foster care system (not in a foster home) or homeless. I believe that is real confirmation!

So we will be busy making these for the next winter season.! I have only made one pair of mittens and one pair of gloves in the past;so this will be good practice for me! I hope others will feel the same way!

In the meantime,dishcloths/washcloths and soapsavers can be made for donating this spring/summer. Generally cotton or a cotton blend yarn is used for cloths,so the two projects should not interfere with each other!

I am amazed how quickly God answered this particular prayer! He must see a great need and know that we can fulfill this!

I am also excited and thankful that our group is now on Lion Brand Yarn's website under their charitable group's listings! We are listed as "Handmade from the heart". I love Lion Brand! Yaay!
